i recently took the very difficult, for me, step of going nude again. i hadn't for a couple of decades and i developed low confidence in that time. friends in the naturist community would tell me, casually, of their adventures and i always wanted to join in, but my late spouse wouldn't even consider it. i had the fortune of meeting a friend of theirs. he said the same things my friends did about attitudes in the naturist community. i wanted this to be true, but when i looked in the mirror all i could focus on were the less-than areas of my body that showed i'd lived and experienced life, and aged. he then showed me an aanr calendar of women in the community. i apologize for not having the exact name, because these women, their photos and their statements changed how i see myself. i was one of them. i could embrace nudity again. i was accepted and not judged on my appearance when i visited an aanr group in my state. it gave me back my confidence, my self acceptance, freedom. i would give this gift to every woman! i will finally be joining my lifelong friends at their retreat next month to participate in an event they host and i've wanted to attend for years.
