By training, I'm a psychologist but right now I'm in the middle of a shift into mediation. It's a fabulous field -- helping people solve conflicts without bringing in lawyers or throwing things at each other. It means I'm taking classes again. But that's fine; I love learning. I recently finished a cookery course in Tuscany where Chef Luciano taught me how to make home-made pasta without speaking a word of English. I now make a mean spaghetti and as a bonus, I know how to say, "Is this enough salt?" using just two hands, a wink and a couple of toes...
