Hello! Just hoping that someone would have suggestions for place to indulge in nude recreation that are NOT nudist resorts? As a poor college student, I had to let the AANR membership lapse, and I was hoping there were *safe* places to enjoy myself clothes-free in the Central New York region...
Thanks
Gillybean

If you 'solve' this problem please post the solution. Poor or not I think you are better off in AANR. You might approach some land owners and ask but most or all will say no, if for no other reason than fear of lawsuits. Lawyers are the dominant terrorist group within the USA. I presume you have done searches on the Internet regarding nudist facilities in your area.

Being currently unemployed and paying the rent with grant money, I have had to make hard decisions on what was important...the AANR membership had to go, at least for now. Maybe when the next financial aid comes in *sigh*
I'm new to the area, and have done the internet searches, but there's not a lot of info regarding anything other than nudist resorts like Empire Haven or Steph's Pond...
If I hear of anyplace, I'll definitely post it...
Thanks anyway

Later today or tomorrow I'll try some Internet searches and/or visit some other sites such as www.naturistplaces.com and see what I can come up with. I would bet money that somewhere near you someone owns land and enjoys nudism.

Sorry Gillybean, I have tried a bunch of searches but have failed. Maybe I am not clever enough.

God Bless You and Love,

Gillybean,

Spend a few bucks and get a copy of DeLorme's maps for NY state. They are terrain maps, so it would help if you've been in the military, or the Boy Scouts.

If not, round up a GPS. (Beg, Borrow, or buy). By looking for the unpopulated areas -- state parks without too much usage, Federal parks, forest preserves, etc., you should be able to come up with somewhere not too far from you.

I'd recommend hiking the area clothed, first. Not only your identified spot, but the area around it, as well. Even a well-used trail might have the odd turn-off which isn't used that much.

Finally, most universitries have endowments -- folks who "made it" donate land to the university or college. Not all of it gets used right away by the school. You might even be able to work up some excuse to go study the area, and profit thereby!

Good luck!

Try Mexico, Caribbean, remote beaches etc. for Au Natural.
Best bet.
Or refund AANR membership.
Hope this helps.

At my campground singles cost the same as couples. If you were in my area Northern Illinois I would be glad to take you with me. I suggest you find a guy you can trust who has a memebership and be his quest or go halfies with him.

Hi Gillybean, don't know if this will help but. I am not sure what you're problem is. If it is purely lack of finances, you need to find a benefactor. If you are going to go walking in the woods you will need a partner if only for security. If you can't go to established clubs or resorts because you are not an AANR member, you could try joining a non-landed club that is affilliated with the AANR or other national or international body. Most clubs will recognise these type of members on a reciprocal basis. It may be cheaper to join. In case you are not aware, I am in Australia. There is a group here called Freebeach Australia who accept genuine nudists. Annual membership is only AUS$25 I think. They are affilliated with the ANF and they are in turn affialliated with the INF. You may be able to join us even though you are a "foreigner". This may assist in getting in to clubs etc but you will have to check first. I am sure you could find a partner somewhere to help you one way or another. Nudistfriends.com is a site you may or may not have tried. Try freebeach.com.au as well. Also Netnude has an excellent list of venues that allow singles. You could also try to gain entry by barter, that is offer to do an hour or so work at the club in return for a day visit. Worth a try.
Hope you can work something out, Ian

Hey Gilly,

I let my membership at the resort lapse too. After my first bike rally four years ago, I lost interest in the high rent recreation. Might work for you too, don't hafta be a biker to go. Usually runs $20 for the whole weekend and you can go alone, couples or with a group. Bike rallys are a little wild because they are usually held on private property. You can be as dressed or undressed as you want to be. But one thing is for sure, you are just as safe as you are at home. Always someone watching out for ya.

I started a group that parties together now at various rallys and we have couples and a lot more singles. Its a lot of fun and we have got close. Almost converted them to nudism too... lol.

Hi, I'm curious about something. AANR. I'm a member, but do all places require you be a member to go? I know our club doesn't require it. Basically all it does for visitors is give them a discount for the day fee. As for the importance of AANR... keep in mind that ANYONE can join. There is no screening whatsoever. One get get on the internet, go to the AANR site, and sigh up... no questions asked. I don't think Gilly's problem was JUST that she had to let her AANR membership lapse... the problem, understandably, is finances. Even with AANR membership, often the discounts offered aren't all that great anyway.

As you may detect, I'm not all that keen on AANR these days, and I could go on and really tell you why, but I won't. I think Naturist Society will be my next choice.

Hope you can find a place Gillybean... wish I could help.
