Does anyone have any good suggestions for a male visiting a nude resort for the first time? I will be going by myself. I just have a few questions. First, what should I expect upon arriving? Since it will be clothing optional, should I just jump right in or take it slowly? And I guess the big question I have is what if I get excited? I realize everyone has a first time but how do you cope? Do you try to block out the other people around you? Any helpful hints would be great Thanks!

If you go to any naturist beach or club people tend to take no notice as its only natural.
The first time I went was on a naturist beach, after the first hour I had no problems, if you do just turn over onto you towel if you do feel embarest
You will find after a few visits you will not get any probs.

In response to your desire to visit a nude resort, I feel the same. I want to take some vacation, spend it at a nude resort, but the problem is being single. Well, really I'm married, but the wife is a nursing home resident and I would be traveling alone. It would be nice to have someone to pair up with for the visit, and hang out with while there. Anyone want to pair up with me and go to a nude resort any time soon?

I think you will find the nudist exposer easier to adjust to than you think. I would undress right away and get that phase overwith. Bring a towel to sit/lie on in public sitting/lying places, chairs and what have you. That is the drill.

Should male arousal occur, grin and bare it, going way out of your way to hide it may make matters worse.

My first time a dropped my bags off at the room, stripped down and headed for the pool. Know that some clubs don't allow single males unless they have been an AANR member for more than a year. for instance , in FL Caliente is one such club. Down the street at Paradise lakes they will take you but you must be affiliated withh AANR or a similar group.

Joining the resort was wonderful and since I was already a closet nudist, going public was not scary, just comfortable. The resort is not a s----l situation, therefore you will not have problems in that area.

The only time I had any problems at all was in the morning at the campsite. Careful towel placement allowed me to make it to the bathrooms without embarassing exposure.

the first time my wife (non nudist) and i went to a clothing optional resort,we checked in,went to our lodge room and i came out nude. i then went to join others that were in the lounge. i am nude in the home always and have nudist friends that visit nude.i guess i was just ready to be around others. if you do get overwhelmed,place a towel over your lap.

The first time I ever went, I went alone, and continue to do so. Just go, take your clothes off and pretend you are at an everyday resort. Because you will be. Nudists are no different than anyone else, we just pack less and get better tans.

You will find the people wonderful and non-judgemental and they don't stare like they do at a textile beach. Once you go nude you will never want to get dressed again. You will never want to go to a beach with a sand filled suit again for sure!

Call ahead and make sure the nudist resort will admit you at a given time and date. Check in at the gatehouse, park, get out of car, undress (in NC and SC), toss clothes in car, put on sandals, grab cooler or whatever and towel or two. Gatehouse personnel will give you instructions.

You must keep a towel between your fanny and any public sitting/lying place, including grassed areas. If you get a erection, cover with towel, jump in pool or hide.

I am old so my kind of first experience may not be relevent. But, by the time I arrived at the resort I was certain that I would not chicken out. I undressed and ambled to the clubhouse were I was greeted by three nude women who were friendly and encouraging. One took me to the pool and gave out my name (first only) and 20 or so people said hello and some waved at me.

I've read many 'first time experiences' and most, but not all, have written that the experience was easier or much easier than expected. I recommend a mind set of going nude immediately. If you chicken out, fine, wander around for awhile. The people there will be of all sizes and shapes and likely will be an older crowd.

My first time was many, many moons ago when I was 23, I am now 74. There was an Internation Naturist Convention being held at the Duke of Bedford's Estate in the UK, I took the plunge. Had a small tent and my ticket, prebooking obligatory. Found a pitch and stripped off and just walked out and mingled. Felt strange at first, but cool. I am by nature a friendly chap and and soon I was surrounded by other people and accepted. I met a family there who invited me to join their club who accepted singles, this was a boon and every weekend and holidyas I spent at the club.
Regretably I married at age 40 to a woman who does not do nude, calls them perverts, also she does not do fun or sex, so happy days have gone. I am now waiting till I am single again and will be back to regular naturist activities instead of in my bedroom.
